The Seven
Photos on Canvas
Distributed among the four walls are seven
canvases with highly enlarged photographs. The number and choice of photos
printed on cotton material refer to her famous Dance of the Seven Veils.
These veils are symbolic of such virtues as beauty, love, purity and
sensuality. Dancing in trance, she divested herself of the veils until,
completely naked, she threw herself at the feet of Shiva.
